Making Play Doh

Quick play doh recipe

What you need :-

  • 2 cups plain flour (all purpose)
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • Up to 1.5 cups boiling water (adding in increments until it feels just right)
  • food colouring (optional)
  • few drops glycerine (optional- adds more shine!)

Method:
  • Mix the flour, salt, cream of tartar and oil in a large mixing bowl
  • Add the boiling water
  • Stir continuously until it becomes a sticky, combined dough
  • Add the food colouring and glycerine (both optional)
  • Allow it to cool down then take it out of the bowl and knead it vigorously for a couple of minutes until all of the stickiness has gone. * This is the most important part of the process, so keep at it until it’s the perfect consistency!*
  • (If it remains a little sticky then add a touch more flour until just right)

You can store this play dough in an air tight container for at least 6 months. If you live in a humid climate you might need to store it in the fridge and out of sunlight.

Enjoy with your child(ren)

Amber Necklace / Anklet

I was sent two Amber products, a necklace for my 3 year old daughter & an anklet for my 10 week old baby.

My daughter suffers from eczema & is lactose intolerant, the necklace so far has helped with her back teeth coming through, no red cheeks, eczema is no where near as bad.
The necklace is to be worn under adult supervision, if you buy  any jewellery it's advised you take all jewellery off at nap / bed times.

The anklet is a tad too big for my baby but it looks stunning & I'm looking forward to using it when she's bigger & teething.

*I will do another review on the baby amber anklet*

Amber Teething Necklace is a traditional baby teething remedy. A natural analgesic, amber used for centuries in Europe.
Wearing Baltic amber close to the skin will help calm a baby without resorting to drugs. Natural anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties of baltic amber are perfect to soothe teething babies.

Amber is used for a lot of natural healing take a look on the website below you might be surprised at the things it can help/heal.
